LARGEST VIRTUAL SONG PERFORMANCE

In a remarkable feat, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) has etched its name in the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Largest Participation in a Virtual Song Performance.” This historic event took place in conjunction with the 64th National Day Celebration on August 20, 2021. The virtual performance featured 3,126 employees from Air Selangor’s headquarters and regional offices across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya, who came together to sing the iconic song “Tanggal 31 Ogos” by the late Sudirman Haji Arshad.

Despite the challenges posed by the National Recovery Plan (PPN) Phase 1, Air Selangor successfully leveraged online platforms to bring this event to life. The initiative aimed to foster a sense of patriotism among employees and support the spirit of #kitajagakita during the pandemic.

In addition to the song performance, Air Selangor also launched a video featuring 64 Malaysians reciting a poem by National Laureate Dato’ Usman Awang, further celebrating the spirit of unity and patriotism.
